I'm presently a Hospice Volunteer and feel incredibly honored to help patients and their families during this end of life transition.
I trained as a Macrobiotic chef and also engaged in extensive self study of other healing diets such as Paleo and Raw/Living-Foods. For many years I worked as a private chef for individuals who were suffering from a variety of chronic illnesses as well as those just wanting delicious and life supporting food.
I find deep grounding and inspiration through my Jewish heritage and spiritual practice. For a decade, I worked along-side my husband of 16 years, Rabbi Gavriel Goldfeder, leading an amazing congregation in Boulder, CO. I continue to offer a monthly Jewish Women's New Moon group based on teachings about the Hebrew calendar.
I'm a universalist and appreciate the wells of wisdom in many other faith-based traditions as well as in secular schools of thought.
My greatest teachers continue to be my three children who push me every day to be more aware, compassionate and joyful!
Some things that keep me feeling awake and alive are: mindfulness meditation, daily talks with friends, my women's group, cuddling with my family, walking in the woods or by the lake near our home in Sharon, MA, listening to podcasts, quiet alone time, yoga, dragging my tush to the gym, singing loudly to the car radio and dancing to anything that has a groove.
